Who we are

Built by parents who could not wait.

Kinder Horizon Foundation is a non-profit initiative founded by a husband-and-wife team. We are the parents of a non-speaking daughter. The Foundation builds free, open-source communication tools for children like ours, anywhere in the world.

Our story

The project was born from a contradiction in our daily lives. One of us spent a career building smart, predictive systems for millions of users. The other left a career in computer science to earn a master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis, in order to understand the science of how our daughter learns.

For years, we built and clinically practiced in parallel. Eventually we asked: why are we not combining what we know? The technology to help our daughter communicate faster already exists. The clinical expertise to do it safely already exists. They had not been brought together affordably, openly, and with the urgency that only parents feel. So we are building it.
